Genevieve Gauckler is a French artist and illustrator who is best known for her ever-evolving procession of lovable characters and technicolour digital mashes. Her works are bright, fun and hectic – often combining symmetrical designs with soft-edged computer generated images laid against photographed backgrounds. She can look back on broad experience in the field of graphic design, illustration and art direction. Starting with french record label F Communications, she later worked on commercials and digital motion projects. After a year spent in London in 1999 (boo.com, Me Company), she came back to Paris to settle as a independant illustrator. Since 2001, Geneviève has been focusing on videos with the collective Pleix, illustrations for various worldwide magazines, advertising and books, objects, toys & Tshirts, corporate identity, character design, exhibitions. She’s now working on a new range of characters and reinventing her style by experiencing new techniques.
